Charles Kestermeier, SJ, is a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin who entered the Jesuit order immediately after high school. He holds a degree from the French Jesuit school of theology, as well as a master’s degree in French literature from St. Louis University and a Ph.D. in French from the University of Wisconsin (Madison). He spent fifteen years teaching at Creighton Prep, and has spent the last twenty-one years teaching English composition and ancient world literature in the English department at Creighton University (Omaha, NE), where he also serves as campus chaplain. Fr. Kestermeier is also a frequent contributor to Our Sunday Visitor.
